BLACK LIVES MATTER
There is work Trinity Film Festival can and must do both on campus and globally by using our platform to condemn systematic and systemic racism and white supremacy. We have a duty to give voice to those who deserve the right to breathe freely. We will lend our energy and our ears to support our students and further anti-racism action in our community. We believe in our student leaders, and we invite our alumni to join them in these efforts in the coming weeks and months ahead.
As the Black Lives Matter movement endures around the world, we admit the insufficiency of a simple statement to show our support. We need to do better and we will do better. A special task force of TFF will work on various tasks and actions in contributing to the broader success of the BLM movement.
We believe in the power of cinema to affect changes at the personal and institutional level, and we intend to fully use our platform to do so.
